Our new timetable for Thistle Gym and classes is now live!

Health & Wellbeing Support

Getting Started group – 10:30 -11:30 – Monday – Friday 

A group for people who have never been to the gym before, have had a change in their health recently or for whom it’s been a long time since they have been in a gym. In these sessions we support people to familiarise themselves with exercises and gym equipment. The support is around self- management in the gym so we co- produce programmes to support the each person’s best hopes from coming to the gym. The hope in this groups is to help people become more confident to in becoming more active. 

Moving Forward – 11:30 -12:30 – Monday to Friday 

A group for people who have some gym experience and can manage their gym session with light support. This is A session to continue building on their confidence in the gym and adapting their gym programme. It is a continuation from the Getting Started group with a lighter touch from practitioners. 

Independent session – 9 -10:30 & 1:30 - 5pm (4pm Friday) 

Open sessions for people who self- manage their gym sessions. These sessions do not have the support of practitioners.
